In 1992, Gianni Versace purchased Casa Casuarina on Ocean Drive to make as his South Beach Home. Versace exquisitely restored the building, adding the south wing, gardens and a beautiful pool

In September 2000 the masion became a priavet club. Barton G. Weiss took over the property in December 2009, adding his own sugnature style and the masnion reopened as The Villa by Barton.

The Dining Room restaurant at The Villa with its mosaiced walls and storied history, features continental cuisine. The intimate 30-seater restaurant offers signature dishes that include The Villa Salad with frozen Caesar dressing and Colorado Rack of Lamb accompanied by Greek Yogurt Jelly Cubes dusted with Harissa. You can choose from a variety of specialty cocktails such as The Villa Martini, a blend of liquors served in a Versace martini glass.

Miami Beach Pride Festival

Miami Beach has long been known as a gay friendly resort area, with many clubs and bars and annual circuit parties such as Winterfest and the White Party at Viscaya.
